Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a History teacher on behalf of a superb mixed secondary school, located in Bolton ahead of the academic year September 2018.
Due to a gap within the humanities department, an exciting opportunity has opened up for a History teacher to join a progressive team.
- Full time History teacher position, September 2018.
- Permanent position within a high achieve mixed secondary school, 11-16.
- Chance to advance within the History department, through a supportive leadership system.
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,917-£38,633)
This Ofsted rated 'Good' school, in all sectors, has approximately 850 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, with modern facilities and on site parking. The Humanities department is led by a creative staff team, focused greatly on student satisfaction and attainment. "Students continue to achieve well and the gap between the attainment of students with learning difficulties and others is closing rapidly and has more than halved. Teachers have secure knowledge of their subjects; treat their students with dignity and respect. Teachers share exemplary classroom practice with their colleagues across the school. The leadership and management of teaching and learning are a major strength."
The successful History Teacher will be;
- A student centred Maths Teacher who promotes a positive behaviour management system.
- Able to raise student satisfaction through planning and creating innovative History lessons, best accommodating the needs of the learners at both Key Stage 3 Level and GCSE Level.
- Hold a Proven track record of raising student attainment.
Located on the outskirts of Bolton town centre, this promising secondary school is well situated to be accessed via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan and Leigh. Public transport links are also readily available with the bus and train stations less than a few miles from the school.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
