History teacher position available - £120-£230

An outstanding Catholic school currently looking to hire a strong History teacher - Clapham Common

Start date after the Easter break, with interviews commencing on the 23rd of April

A lovely Catholic secondary school are looking for a History, or Humanities, teacher to start at the end of April. For this specific role, the school is looking for a strong teacher who has experience teaching History and UK recognised teaching qualifications, with good behaviour control.

History teacher needed for after Easter!

Requirements:

  • All teachers must have UK recognised teaching qualifications (PGCE or QTS)
  • Expect experience teaching History, or similar Humanities, at Key stage 3 to key stage 5 level
  • Would be required to mark work, plan & prepare lessons
  • Teachers would need to prepare and create innovative lessons that engage students, in line with the National curriculum
  • Applicants must have an enhanced child workforce DBS
  • Must be able to provide a complete 6 year career history and two graded (performance based) referenced

The Role

  • This is a full time History teaching role covering key stage 3 up to key stage 5
  • There are interviews for this position, starting after Easter, in the first week back after the break for term
  • Assuming an appropriate candidate is found, the school are offering a pay rate of between £120 and £230 depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Based near Clapham Common, this lovely Catholic school is easily accessible vis public transport and has facilities to park if driving is preferred
  • It has been rated as 'outstanding' by Ofsted as they noted "the leadership have ensured the standards of education have remained high and their staff maintain an energetic and positive attitude."
  • The attitude of the staff is maintained as the school's leadership afford a healthy work/life balance

The School

The Catholic school based in Clapham is a beautiful old school set on large grounds which encourage the preservation of nature. The on-site sports fields enable students, and staff a like, to enjoy sports and exercise, allowing them an opportunity to relax.

It has been rated outstanding because of the strong Senior Leadership Team that affords all staff a healthy work/life balance, but chief among these is the new 'state-of-the-art' facilities. These allow teachers the opportunity to create innovative lessons, benefiting both staff and students a like.

The school is of Catholic denomination and promotes the key principles of the Catholic religion. Although the school promote and engage with religious activities, staff are not required to participate if they choose not too.
