Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Sheffield

Are you looking for your perfect HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) role?

Teaching Personnel's South Primary Team are currently working with a number of schools across Sheffield, Rotherham, Worksop and Chesterfield and we need you! We have a rapidly growing demand for HLTA's for temporary and permanent roles.

You must hold a Degree or L4 equivalent. Ideally you will have experience covering classes, however this is not essential as we can provide shadowing experience and Cover Supervisor Training. You must have experience working in Primary or Nursery settings and be familiar with current age related expectations.

As a HLTA, all planning will be provided, but you will be responsible for the classroom while the teacher is away. Therefore, a good knowledge of positive behaviour management, or even Team Teach training would be beneficial. You may be required to work across the Key Stages covering PPA and Teacher absence across school. If you are are a graduate looking for a route into teaching, or a support staff member looking for the next step in your career, this could be the role for you!
