A higher level teaching assistant is needed at a Northampton primary school on a full time basis. This is an ongoing position where you will be covering across all year groups.
The Higher Level Teaching Assistant/ HLTA role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) you will be helping the class teacher motivate and support the development of children
As part of this role there will also be the opportunity to work as a Cover Supervisor, meaning you will have a great opportunity in a varied role.
The Higher Level Teaching Assistant hired will need to act on their own initiative as well as be willing to follow instruction.
As the Ideal Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) you will:
Raise the standards of pupils learning
Prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, smalls groups or the class as a whole.
Assess pupil progress
Have an up to date & enhanced DBS
Relevant Degree and/or HLTA Status
Relevant experience supporting pupils in UK Primary Schools and Education settings
Have the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with staff, pupils and parents
This Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) position is offered on a long-term contracted basis with an option to progress into a permanent role.

There is wide-ranging contribution from the multidisciplinary team including speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, as well as a highly experienced team of teaching staff.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
