Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate HLTA for a vacancy in one of our Teignmouth Primary schools. This role is within their year 5 class. Extensive classroom experience is essential. This is a fantastic two form entry school with friendly and experienced staff. The successful applicant will join a supportive team with a wide range of students of mixed abilities and requirements. Successful applicants will:

• Hold a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant qualification

•Have 6 months experience of supporting young people with additional needs, including Autism, Learning Difficulties and Physical Disabilities

•Be able to liaise with other staff members to ensure the best education is being delivered to pupils in your care

• Be calm, caring and efficient when dealing with pupils going into crisis mode

• Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
