Are you looking for a new challenge and would you like to work closely with year 10 and 11 students to support them in small classes?

We are working with an alternative provision school for males in the Wirral area, who are looking for the right person to add to their team long term to support their students on a 1-1 basis. It is extremely important that you are a people person and can take the time to build strong and trustworthy relationships with the pupils.

They are looking for a HLTA who has access to their own car as they often work with the pupils off site. It is important that you would be willing to drive the pupils in your own car and take them too and from activities.

  • Specialist provision- Wirral
  • Hours/Days: Monday-Friday, 8.00am-3.00pm (Term-Time only)
  • Competitive rate £11.85-£12.87 per hour
  • Start date- As soon as possible.

They are looking for the right candidate who will work five days per week and show a genuine interest in supporting the students and guiding them through day to day. Children work in small groups and the school caters for young men with additional social, emotional, and mental health needs.

The school received an outstanding OFSTED report. They reported “Your pupils and their families are of the opinion that your school transforms lives. For many pupils who have been out of education for some time, starting at Kilgarth has been a ‘game changer’ and the positive impact on their education is substantial. Parents and carers talk about the positive difference you make, not only to their children but also to their families”.

The ideal teaching assistant would be somebody who is passionate about working with children. It is extremely important that they have good communication skills and are able to set great examples.
