Assistant Head of Maths – September 2025 Start
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: MPS / UPS + TLR 2C
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Teaching Personnel are proud to be supporting a high-achieving secondary school in Northamptonshire in their search for an experienced and inspiring Assistant Head of Maths to join their outstanding faculty from September 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate mathematics teacher who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey or for an existing middle leader looking for a fresh challenge in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role:

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A Level

  • Play a key role in the strategic development and success of the Maths faculty

  • Support the Head of Department in leading a high-performing team of 12 subject specialists

  • Contribute to a strong culture of high expectations and academic excellence

  • Inspire students through engaging teaching, and help deliver continued outstanding progress

About the School:

The school is large, oversubscribed, and highly regarded in the local area, with over 1,400 students on roll, including a thriving Sixth Form of around 150 students. Maths is one of the most popular and successful subjects in the school, with Core Maths and Further Maths also available in the Sixth Form. A significant number of students progress onto Maths-related degrees each year.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
