Graduate Teaching Assistant

A primary school in Rochdale have the immediate need for a graduate teaching assistant to join their support staff team; this is a full time on-going position. Teaching Personnel are working closely with this large & multi cultural primary school in Rochdale to recruit a teaching assistant of graduate background. This position is ideal for a graduate who aspires to become a primary school teacher, you will work alongside the support staff and teaching team to raise attainment and improve the quality of learning in school. Previous experience as a teaching assistant is desirable for applicants however not essential; if you’ve worked with children in a similar capacity we welcome your application. - Graduate teaching assistant position - Immediate start, working full time on a long term basis - Large primary school 10 minutes from Rochdale town centre with good transport links - Earn up to GBP65 per day (previous experience dependant) - Great opportunity for aspiring teachers of the future Situated in a diverse area of the town, this Rochdale based primary school is two form entry and has over 250 pupils on roll from a range of backgrounds. The incoming teaching assistant will be supporting class teachers in KS2 (year 3-6) with key areas of learning, focusing specifically on improving Literacy and Numeracy by taking small groups during lessons under the teacher’s direction. The school connects to Rochdale town centre with regular busses and also the Metrolink tram.
