Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you an aspiring Teacher, who has recently graduated looking for an exciting new opportunity working within a secondary school in Trafford?

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant within our client's high achieving secondary school in Trafford. The Graduate Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting secondary school students in KS3-4 within your specialist subject knowledge.

The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to experience a number of different roles, such as;

  • Supporting students within your specialist subject knowledge as a general Teaching Assistant
  • Offering tuition sessions with small groups of students or on a one to one basis
  • Supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Covering lessons on the absence of the classroom teacher
  • Supporting extra curriculum activities

The Headteacher of our client's secondary school is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to offer extra support for their students within the first academic term of the year. This is to help the students ease back into school after their long summer holiday break.

The high achieving secondary school is located in the South of Manchester, in the Trafford area. Situated close to Altrincham, with excellent transport links, it is easy to access our client's secondary school. The school have a Happy Positive and proud ethos, encouraging their students to achieve their maximum potential.

The ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant will;

  • Have experience working in a learning environment
  • Have a degree with specialist subject knowledge
  • Have a good general knowledge of the main core subjects
  • Be available to work a full time role
  • Be confident and outgoing to interact and support the students
