The successful candidate will take small groups to raise pupil attainment and use Assessment for Learning (AfL) techniques to assess pupil progress and understanding. The school is extremely supportive so candidates will learn how to assess, mark and deliver lesson plans to small groups and whole class settings if they feel confident.

The School

The school, graded 'Good' by OFSTED, has a very welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. The right candidate will learn every aspect of a Teaching Assistant role and will have the opportunity to observe teachers in the classroom. This is invaluable experience for any candidate looking to become a teacher or purse a career in education. The school is organised and the school's goals are very clear. There is a high level of English as an Additional Language (EAL). The school has a clear behaviour policy which is adhered to throughout the school which keeps behavioural incidents to a minimal.

The Head teacher:

The head teacher is supportive and sends members of staff on continuous career development courses from Behaviour Management to Phonics Training. They value the development of staff and expect all staff to have high standards of pupil achievement and attainment.

This is a great opportunity for a graduate looking to get into teaching or a PGCE student who feels they need more experience pre/post PGCE. Please email or call 0161 242 1790 if you are interested in this position.
