Graduate Teaching Assistants required at a Bury secondary school - ASAP!

Are you a graduate with previous experience supporting pupils learning within secondary schools? Or perhaps you are due to start your PGCE in September and are looking to secure full time work in schools prior to this?

If this sounds like your current situation, then our client school located in Bury have an excellent opportunity for you to join their support team as a graduate teaching assistant immediately!

Your role as a graduate teaching assistant will include the following responsibilities:

  • Providing general classroom support to the class teacher
  • Supporting pupils in smaller groups and on a 1:1 basis with the core subjects
  • Being an enthusiastic and supportive role model for pupils

Key aspects of the graduate teaching assistant role:

  • Supportive environment, working alongside large support staff team
  • Secondary school based in south Manchester, easily accessible via public transport
  • Earn up to £300 per week, paid on a weekly basis
  • Excellent opportunity for aspiring secondary teachers

As a graduate teaching assistant, you will be joining a vibrant and dedicated support team at a Bury secondary school which is fairly large and very popular. You will be given guidance and direction by the schools SENCO who will brief you on your responsibilities every morning. Staff moral is high and feedback on the schools working environment is very positive. The school serves the catchment areas of Bury, Prestwich, Radcliffe and Whitefield making it very accessible for those in and around South Manchester via the Metrolink and local bus services.
