A school in Tameside is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join the support staff team.
Requirements for this role are as follows:
- A degree.
- A desire to work within the educations sector in order to develop school based experience.
- A passion for working with children from years 7 – 11.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, the role will involve:
- Managing and catering for the individual needs of students, including those with SEN.
- Ensuring workloads are suitable for specific individual, working with full time teaching staff regarding this.
- Working on a small group basis and 1:1 with students requiring support across the subjects.
- Producing data on student progression and feeding this back to subject leaders and senior leaders.
- Enforcing behaviour policies and school expectations at all times.
- Developing rapport with students, acting as a role model at all times.
Pay for this role will range between GBP275 - GBP350 per week, dependant on the candidates prior experience.
The school:
- Located in Tameside, the school is a short distance away from Manchester city centre.
- There are several transport links located close by (Bus, Metrolink, Train) as well as motorway links located in close proximity of the school site.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
