Teaching Personnel is offering exciting opportunities for graduates to work as Graduate Teaching Assistants in primary schools across Newport. This is the perfect stepping stone for aspiring teachers looking to build their confidence and skills in a supportive school environment.
The Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll:
- Support teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
- Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils who need extra support.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning.
- Assist in creating and preparing engaging learning materials.
- Experience the day-to-day life of a school and gain valuable insight into teaching.

- Recent university graduates (any subject – Education, Psychology, English, Maths, and Science particularly welcome).
- Passionate individuals interested in becoming future teachers.
- Confident communicators with a proactive and flexible approach.
- Reliable team players who are enthusiastic and patient.
- Candidates who can commit to full-time or part-time roles during term time.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
