SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: NP16

Pay: £89.38 per day
Start Date: ASAP or January
Teaching Personnel are seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in primary schools across the NP16 area. This is a rewarding role supporting children with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and developmental delays.

⭐ About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ALN/SEN needs.

Use consistent behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
-
Adapt classroom activities to meet individual learning requirements.
-
Support emotional regulation and confidence-building in pupils.
-
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff teams.
-
Help create a calm, inclusive and well-structured learning environment.

⭐ Who We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:

Experience supporting pupils with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, GDD, etc.).

Strong behaviour management skills.

A calm, resilient and nurturing approach.

DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Nice-to-Haves:
-
Training such as Team Teach, Autism Awareness or SEMH support.
-
Experience supporting IDPs or personalised learning plans.
-
Experience assisting pupils with sensory needs or communication delays.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
