Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Start date: September 2025
Location: County Durham
Contract: Full time (Temp to Perm)
Salary: £90-100 a day (Dependent on experience)
Are you a recent graduate eager to nurture and motivate young learners with genuine enthusiasm for education? Teaching Personnel seeks a Graduate Teaching Assistant to collaborate effectively with educational teams and students. This position offers valuable hands-on teaching experience in schools throughout County Durham.
Role responsibilities include:
- Establishing an encouraging and positive learning atmosphere that promotes development and enthusiasm
- Delivering group and individual student assistance
- Working alongside teachers to provide optimal educational support
- Utilizing and developing subject expertise throughout your classroom placement
Our ideal applicant has:
- Relevant degree qualification or equivalent (education degree preferred though not required)
- Prior classroom/student support experience (beneficial but not mandatory)
- DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Capacity for teamwork and professional collaboration
- Excellent communication abilities
- Commitment to upholding effective classroom management and student conduct standards

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
