About the Role
As part of the programme, you will work as a Cover Supervisor in a Warrington secondary school. This full-time, term-time role is designed to immerse you in school life while helping you build the core skills required to become a successful teacher.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising classes during teacher absences using pre-prepared lesson materials
- Supporting students with their work and encouraging active participation
- Maintaining a positive learning environment and managing behaviour
- Reporting on lesson progress and student engagement
- Collaborating with teachers, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff
- Assisting with small group interventions or targeted support when required
You will not be expected to plan lessons or mark work. The focus is on developing confidence, classroom presence, and behaviour management.

- Start Date: November 2025
- Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 per year
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
- Contract: Full-time, term-time only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
