Graduate Teacher Training Programme – Bournemouth – Start September 2025

This full-time role offers the ideal blend of practical classroom experience and professional development, designed to prepare you for a successful transition into salaried teacher training and ultimately achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Programme Overview:
Starting in September 2025, this programme will place you in a supportive secondary school in the Bournemouth area, working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant during your first year. You’ll work closely with experienced educators and gain invaluable insight into the teaching profession. Following this initial year, successful candidates will be supported to progress onto a salaried teacher training route, starting in September 2026, with the goal of earning a PGCE and QTS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work across a range of subjects, supporting pupils of all abilities
- Deliver targeted small group interventions and assist with one-to-one support
- Learn classroom management and teaching techniques by shadowing experienced staff
- Assist with lesson planning, resource creation, and marking
- Support extra-curricular activities, pastoral care, and school events
- Gain a real understanding of school culture, policies, and educational practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
