Graduate Teaching Assistant in South Manchester Needed

Working within a secondary school as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant would provide perfect opportunity for anybody looking to gain valuable experience before undertaking a PGCE to become a teacher.

The schools Teaching Personnel work within South Manchester are a range of Ofsted Good and Outstanding schools that are close to public transport links and have supportive SLT departments who ensure that all staff are supported (permanent and support staff).

Cover Supervisors are required to provide behaviour management in class sizes of up to 30 students, with no actual work preparation, marking or even delivery of work, it is a role that requires a person with strong behaviour management skills and good people management skills. The role of a Teaching Assistant is one that involves working with students in either a one to one or small group setting, primarily helping them throughout a range of lessons and supporting the class teacher with their workload and ensuring that the selected students are aware of how to complete the tasks set to them.

• Pay £425 - £475 per week depending on experience and role (6.5 hour days)
• Full-time and part-time roles in South Manchester available
• Day to day and longer-term roles also an option
• Mainly Ofsted Good and Outstanding schools
