Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are partnered with several exceptional Secondary Schools based in Wigan and the outskirts of Bolton and are hiring multiple highly motivated graduates to work with students aged 11-16.
- Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Location: Wigan
- Duration: Full-time/Part-time. Immediate start or September 2024. Flexible working available.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to classroom teachers in delivering lessons and managing student behaviour.
- Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help students with special educational needs or those requiring additional support.
- Supervise students during class, breaks, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to monitor student progress and address concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic educational environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
