Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – SEN School – Bromley

A vibrant Primary School in Bromley are looking to recruit a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a small group of pupils within school, who have challenges in their learning.

This is a unique opportunity to work with children with a range of SEMH needs, who need support working outside of the classroom to make progress both socially and academically.

The position is perfect for aspiring Educational Psychologists or Speech Therapists, or graduates looking for further experience to support their career ambitions working with children with SEN / SEMH.

JOB DESCRIPTION – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Working with a small group of up to 4 children at a time
  • Working with children on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Working with children with SEMH difficulties
  • Working outside of the classroom to support social and academic progress
  • Long Term & Full Time – until July 2024
  • £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
  • Benefits package including being paid in line with national pay scales (AWR), discount packages, and referral bonuses of up to £250
  • Located in Bromley

PERSON SPECIFICATION – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Must have a degree
  • Must have a strong academic background – A levels and GCSEs
  • Experience in a previous role would be ideal
  • Personal or professional experience with SEN / SEMH
  • You must be passionate, positive and confident in nature
  • Perfect for Psychology graduates!
  • Holds a registered DBS or be willing to apply for one ASAP

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
