Are you a graduate pursing a career in education, and would now like to get the ball rolling?

Working as a Teaching Assistant is not only rewarding, but also opens a lot of doors for your future!

Teaching Personnel Bristol is seeking Graduates of all subject disciplines for a number of Teaching Assistant roles we have available in schools across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

If you have a strong academic background, are highly motivated and enthusiastic then we want to hear from you.

Although no teaching experience is necessary, prior experience working with children is desirable.

You should also fit the following criteria:

  • A degree and A-levels within your subject area
  • The desire to become a qualified Secondary School Teacher in the future
  • Knowledge of the education system within Secondary School sector

We are particularly keen to hear from Graduates of English, Maths, Science, PE, and Psychology related degrees.

Why become a Teaching Assistant?

Working as a graduate teaching assistant is excellent paid experience for those wanting to become teachers.

If you are applying for a PGCE then working with us as a Teaching Assistant will provide you with invaluable classroom experience that will look great on any future applications.  Having real experiences within schools that you can talk about in detail will not only help you stand out to competitors but also make any discussions in interviews a lot easier!

Teaching Assistant work is extremely rewarding - many of our Teaching Assistants comment on how great it feels to really help pupils develop, especially those with Special Educational Needs.

What You Will Be Doing:

Working as a teaching assistant will require you to take direction from teachers and other staff members, provide in class support during lessons, lead activities for small groups and also support children on an individual 1:1 basis, you may also (in time) be asked to lead lessons in the absence of teaching staff.

You may undertake a role in which you are supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, if this is something of particular interest  to you and you have SEN experience then please let us know.

We have a number of part time and full time roles available. If you are unable to commit to a particular role but still wish to gain classroom experience we can also offer you day to day supply work.

Working with us on a supply basis allows you to choose when and where you work! You are completely in charge of your weekly diary.  This flexibility allows you to achieve the ultimate work:life balance, which is especially useful if you decide to work with us alongside completing your PGCE.

Working as a Teaching Assistant with Teaching Personnel you will be paid a daily rate between GBP57-65 a day (exact rate will be discussed upon application).  You will be paid on a weekly basis directly into your bank account.

Why Work with Us?

There are  a number of benefits of working with Teaching Personnel:

  • Our relationships with local schools provide access to a wealth of teaching opportunities in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools.
  • You will have your very own specialist Recruitment Consultant dedicated to finding you work.
  • Access to our CPD academy - numerous courses to help your learning development such as Team Teach.
  • Competitive pay rate - we care about all our teachers and support staff and so ensure we offer you a fair and competitive rate.
  • No Fees - We make it easy for our teachers to transition from us to a contract with a school because we do not charge the schools any fees to take you onto contract!
  • Flexibility -  One extremely useful benefit of securing your long term role through us is that it allows you to go into a school and decide whether it is the right one for you before fully committing to the entire academic year
  • Refer a Friend Scheme - financial benefits for every friend that joins us
  • Weekly Pay - you will be paid weekly directly into your bank account

Apply today and let us find the perfect role for you.

I advise if you are interested in this role that you apply at the earliest opportunity to avoid disappointment.

In the meantime if you would like to know more then please email,  or call our office on 01179200042 and ask to speak with Jess.  I very much look forward to hearing from you.
