Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with two highly successful academies in Bournemouth who are seeking aspirational graduates looking for a career in teaching to take part in their in house teacher training programme from September 2018.

The schools are amongst the top 10% of schools nationally against the new Progress 8 Measure and one of the top performing schools in Bournemouth. In the academies most recent OFSTED report, they were judged to be good in all areas. It commented that students are overwhelmingly positive about the academy and behave exceptionally well. The school has an inspirational senior leadership team and is part of a large multi-academy Trust, a group of schools which aims to provide excellent education to children and young people across the country.

The school have a full time member of staff who leads on initial teacher training. She is an outstanding teacher and leader who is keen to work with all prospective graduates who may wish to pursue a career in teaching.

The academies are eager to hear from any graduate who would be interested in gaining paid experience in schools, in particular in maths, science and English. Positions on the teacher training programme are subject to a 15-week probationary period on a fixed daily rate (between £60-£75 per day), before being offered a contract for the following year on an annual salary from £15,000 PA.

The role would involve taking a full and active part in the life of the schools, classroom observations of lessons, mentoring from outstanding and leading edge practitioners and the completion of a comprehensive CPD programme designed by the schools on an individual basis. This would lead to classroom teaching across the 2 schools with on-going support throughout the programme.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
