Girls PE teacher in Farnborough GU14 to cover Maternity leave

I am looking for a successful PE teacher who is an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious practitioner to be appointed in a temporary PE position. You will work across all year groups and support a broad programme of extra-curriculum activities. This role is temporary to cover a maternity leave. You will be responsible for girls PE across KS3 and KS4 with responsibilities of planning and marking, whilst being paid to your own pay scale. Whilst this role is currently a maternity cover, there is a chance that this may continue after this role if wished.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in developing extra-curricular sports for all abilities to enthuse students to develop their abilities as well as play competitively. The post is suitable for a new qualified teacher. This role is responsible for female changing rooms.

This school is on a rapidly improving and exciting journey, where high quality teaching and student engagement is vital. The PE department has a range of dedicated indoor and outdoor facilities and five dedicated, full-time staff.

We are looking to appoint a teacher who will:

  • * Be an excellent practitioner with good subject knowledge up to GCSE level.
  • * Engage, enthuse, motivate and challenge students to raise achievement at all levels.
  • * Run and develop aspects of the extra-curricular sports & fitness programme.
