Are you a qualified Geography teacher wishing to secure a position following the Easter break? Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a mixed comprehensive 11-16 Academy in the Bury LEA and due to departmental restructure, they are looking to appoint a teacher of Geography on a full time basis from Easter.

This position will initially be temporary until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the school in September 2018.

- Full time Geography teacher required, April 2018 start
- Teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE, planning and marking responsibilities required
- Bury location, accessible via the M60/M66 motorways
-Opportunity to secure a permanent post from September 2018
- Pay in line with teaching scale point (£22,917 - £38,633 per annum)

Applications are being accepted from both experienced and newly qualified Geography teachers and the school wish to meet interested teachers at the earliest convenience.

Our client Secondary school has approximately 800 pupils on roll and plans are in place to begin building new state of the art facilities on site. The incoming teacher will work within an experienced Humanities department, and will receive full support during the post. The school have seen rapid improvements in progress and attainment over the last academic year, with all students meeting and some exceeding the floor standards as set from the Government. The successful Geography teacher will be expected to follow and implement the schools ethos and values and differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

Located in Bury, the school can be accessed via the M66 and M60 motorways. Public transportation links from central Manchester and Rossendale also provide a direct route to the school, meaning non-drivers can access the school with ease.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
