We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Geography Teacher who possesses the drive and potential to take on potential leadership responsibilities within one of our multi trust, partnership academy in Northwest Bristol for September 2024!

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students and align with the school’s curriculum standards.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to participate and excel.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to facilitate active learning and promote students’ critical thinking skills.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and seize opportunities for leadership training and growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Education, and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education with Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Proven experience teaching geography at the secondary level, with a track record of student achievement and engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of geographical concepts, current trends, and developments in the field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities within the school community.
