Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students and align with the school’s curriculum standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to participate and excel.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to facilitate active learning and promote students’ critical thinking skills.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities and contribute to the wider school community.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and seize opportunities for leadership training and growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Education, and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education with Qualified Teacher Status.
- Proven experience teaching geography at the secondary level, with a track record of student achievement and engagement.
- Strong knowledge of geographical concepts, current trends, and developments in the field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities within the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
