Geography teacher - Rochdale

Our client secondary school require a qualified, highly inspirational Geography teacher to fill a gap in their department from Easter 2019. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at an Ofsted rated 'Good' Roman Catholic and Church of England 11-16 school.

  • Full time post from Easter 2019 until the end of the academic year
  • Possibility of a more progressive role leading into September 2019
  • Short drive from M60 motorway
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720-£39,406)

Teaching Personnel are the market leader of education recruitment, and are currently seeking a Geography teacher on behalf of our client school. With fewer than 700 students currently in attendance, this smaller than average secondary school has got an excellent community feel, as well as being very well respected by locals in the area. Located in the Heywood area of Rochdale, this Ofsted rated 'Good' mixed secondary school is just a short drive from the M60, and so is easily reachable from the majority of areas in Greater Manchester.

Our client school's Progress 8 score continues to get better, and is above the national averages for secondary schools. The school has always been a good school but is considered to be on its way to 'Outstanding'.

Qualified Teacher Status and relevant qualifications are a necessity when applying for this post of Geography teacher. The humanities department at our client school are extremely dedicated and hard working, and thrive on being a collaborative and inclusive department. Joint planning and a shared curriculum is at the forefront of the departments priorities.

"The Geography department encourages learning outside of the classroom in several ways. From the start of Year 7 students are encouraged to work independently on extended projects which can be tailored to their interests. The department also provides a wide variety of enrichment activities." Head of Faculty.

If you would like to apply for this post as a Geography, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
