General Teaching Assistant based in key Stage 1. Full-time / permanent position starting in the next 2 - 4 weeks.
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a General Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming Primary School in Wakefield (Ossett- WF5) starting as soon as possible in the next 2-4 weeks. The school is looking for someone who is minimum CACHE Level 2 or a recent University Graduate who also has experience working with children in an educational based environment.
This particular role would require the candidate to work with small groups in a mainstream setting, whilst also providing intervention outside the classroom on a timetable basis when required in; Reading, Writing and Maths. You will mainly be supporting children in Key Stage 1. Experience in working with pupils with SEN is preferential although not essential.
The ideal candidate will:
- Motivate and engage the pupils
- Be patient and enthusiastic
- Communicate effectively and be well organised
- Be passionate about creating a safe environment for pupils
- Willing to progress their own skills through CPD courses
