Position: General Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £92.95 per day
Start Date: As soon as vetting checks complete
Overview
Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to work across primary schools in Barry. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Work with small groups of pupils to reinforce learning
- Provide additional support to students who may need extra guidance
- Help maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
- Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation
Requirements
- Experience working with children (school-based or transferable experience such as coaching, childcare, or tutoring) is desirable
- Enhanced Child DBS (or willingness to obtain one – support provided)
- Safeguarding Level 2 (or willingness to complete – support provided)
