From helping pupils sound out their first words during phonics in KS1, to supporting group work in maths and science in KS2, this Teaching Assistant role in Barry offers the chance to become a valued part of a busy and engaging classroom environment.
Teaching Personnel is working with a vibrant primary school in Barry seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support learning across the classroom. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a varied environment and enjoys building meaningful relationships with pupils.
Throughout the day, you may support individuals who need additional encouragement, lead small intervention groups, assist the teacher in preparing resources, and help maintain a positive and structured learning atmosphere. You will become an integral part of the school day, supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally.
About You
You may already have school-based experience, or perhaps you have worked in childcare, coaching, youth work, or another support-focused environment. What matters most is your enthusiasm, patience, and genuine passion for helping children reach their potential. The school are looking for someone they can help develop through their career with children and welcome any experience level.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
