Teacher of Science- September

  • Full time Science teacher position- opportunity to become permanent
  • Teaching Science across KS3 and GCSE to different ability students
  • Attractive pay rates in line with MPS/UPS (£22,467-£38,250 per annum)

Due to a restructure within the Science department, a position has become available within the Science faculty with our partner Secondary school. This position will be given on a full time, temporary basis in September with an opportunity to become permanent.

• Full time teacher of Science post – September start

• Opportunity to work within a highly supportive Science department

• Work in an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school

• Well facilitated 11-16 secondary, outstanding provisions for learning

• Newly qualified and experienced teacher encouraged to apply

Our client school is a mixed comprehensive 11-16 school located in Central Manchester and is easily accessible via the A6010 and the surrounding areas; Oldham, Bury and Salford. The school opened to provide to the local community and serves a diverse catchment area, a large proportion of students arrive at the school with below national average attainment but by the end of KS3 are making better than expected progress. The school provides outstanding facilities, large classrooms and offers ongoing support for continued personal development. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school received ‘Good; and are expected to exceed this in their next inspection.

The ideal Science teacher will ideally be looking to commit to a longer term placement in a secondary school, and as a partner school of Teaching Personnel, there may be an opportunity to secure a fixed contract in the future. The school have no preference for levels of experience, and are willing to support the induction of newly qualified Maths teachers.
