Science teacher - Manchester

Science teacher – Manchester

Teaching Personnel work on behalf of schools across Manchester, on short and long term supply needs. A Secondary school in Manchester are looking to appoint a Science teacher for full time September position.

The Secondary school is located outside Manchester city centre with it being easily accessible by public transport. The school has 834 pupils on roll with a higher percentage of boys on roll than girls. SEN pupils on roll at the school are below the national average with only 0.7% with SEN. The successful Science teacher would benefit from previous experience with students who have English as an additional language as 33.9% of pupils are EAL pupils this is more than double the national average. Percentage of disadvantage pupils is also more than double the national average with 64.1% of pupils on free school meals.

The successful Science teacher will be teaching all Secondary school years and all abilities. The successful Science teacher will be working with a supportive faculty with Leadership and Management at the Manchester school being graded “outstanding”. The Manchester school has a huge focus on valuing each student’s achievement. The opportunity would be amazing for any newly qualified or experienced teachers.
