Our client in Reading are seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher of Science to join an exciting, dynamic and successful department, graded “outstanding” in their latest OFSTED subject inspection. The position is suitable for specialist Science teachers of any discipline, with the ability to teach Physics or Biology an advantage. Also suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher. For the right candidate, the opportunity exists for further responsibility within the Science department. An additional remuneration package could be awarded for this responsibility.

Student attainment is strong in Science at GCSE with 83% of students achieving grades C and above at GCSE. Science also has a successful post-16 uptake, with A-level courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Applied Science, Psychology and Health and Social Care.

The person we are seeking will:

? be reflective and eager to develop their teaching skills.

The school is a highly successful comprehensive school (1700 on roll, including 360 in the Sixth Form) situated in a pleasant semi-rural setting to the west of Reading, with good access to road and rail links.
