Science teacher required in Stockport for a maternity cover commencing in June until April 2018 initially. This is a full time Science teaching post with full teaching responsibilities of planning, marking and regular assessment required. The timetable will consist of all Sciences with a preference of Chemistry or Physics for the successful candidate.

Due to the demographics of the school and achievements the successful Scientist must possess a proven track record of raising attainment levels and display a clear passion for teaching Science to work in this thriving Science department.

This over subscribed large secondary school has over 14400 students and achieves outstanding results academically due to the consistently high level of teaching. Last year 70% of students achieved at least 5 A*-C grades in their GCSEs well above the national average of 56%. You will be working within a large department that has 8 full time Science teachers and a Head of Department who is well established with senior responsibilities within the school.
