Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a school in the New Forest to provide them with home tutors for pupils with complex needs. The age of the pupils vary from Primary all he way through to Secondary. The pupils can have a variety of complex needs ranging from,
- Behaviour difficulties
- Medical Needs
- Emotionally Venerable
- School Phobia
The tutoring can take place in a variety of places throughout the New Forest ranging from the pupils home, care homes, the school the pupil is registered to or a or local library. Predominantly the pupils are allocated 5 hours per week for tutoring, however in some circumstances some students may have additional hours. Frequently stances the school will provide the work for the pupil however on some occasions the tutor will have to prepare the work.
The candidate chosen must be a Qualified Teacher or have experience of tutoring previously. Consequently due to the number of pupils, the candidate selected must be flexible as times and days can change at very short notice. The length in which pupils are tutored for can vary between 2 weeks or be required all year. The candidate selected must have a driving license and be able to drive.
