Job Title: GCSE Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Chelmsford

£20 - £25 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality tutoring sessions to GCSE students in various subjects
  • Develop tailored learning plans and resources to meet individual student needs
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Help students prepare for exams and improve their study skills
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in the subject area or education
  • Teaching or tutoring experience at the GCSE level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area or education

Experience:

Prior teaching or tutoring experience at the GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in education or relevant subject area
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a classroom or tutoring centre environment
  • Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend sessions
  • Interact with students, parents, and other educational professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
