English Teacher – Permanent Position – Christchurch Secondary School (September Start)
A well-regarded secondary school in Christchurch is seeking a committed and creative English Teacher to join their thriving English department on a permanent basis from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about literature, language, and inspiring young minds through the power of storytelling, analysis, and expression.

The position will involve teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with potential to contribute to Key Stage 5 depending on experience and departmental needs.
Role Highlights:

Deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons across mixed-ability classes

Teach both English Literature and English Language following the AQA GCSE specification

Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant English or humanities-based degree

A strong understanding of the current GCSE English curriculum (AQA or equivalent)

Ability to inspire and motivate pupils with different learning styles and abilities

Effective classroom management and the ability to maintain a purposeful learning environment

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
