Are you a qualified English teacher looking for flexible part-time supply opportunities?

A well-regarded secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Supply Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

This role offers the opportunity to deliver engaging English lessons to pupils aged 11 to 16, helping to support their learning and foster a love of the subject.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering stimulating English lessons aligned with the national curriculum

  • Managing classroom behaviour to create a positive learning environment

  • Assessing pupil progress and providing timely, constructive feedback

  • Supporting pupils’ development in literacy, communication, and critical thinking

  • Collaborating with staff to ensure smooth transitions during supply periods

 

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential

  • Experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Adaptable and able to integrate quickly into new teaching environments

  • DBS registered on the Update Service or willing to apply
