Future Teachers - Bury

Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking for your first role?

Are you interested in working in Secondary Schools?

Teaching Personnel have been working alongside Secondary schools in Bury to design a programme specifically for graduates interested in teaching. The 'Future Teachers' programme provides graduates with one year of paid experience in on of our client schools before joining a teacher training course.

The 'Future Teachers Programme' commences in September 2019 on a full-time basis and will be guaranteed for the full academic year 2019/2020. This programme will provide Psychology Graduates with invaluable skills and experience necessary to become a successful teacher and will also support securing a position on an upcoming teacher training programme.

  • Positions available for September 2019 guaranteed until the end of the academic year (2020).
  • Competitive rates of pay, earn up to £1300 per month.

Application Requirements

  • To be accepted onto the Future Teachers Programme, you must have a Psychology degree or be coming to the end of the final year of your Psychology degree.
  • You must be able to obtain two references from your most recent employer or University tutor and be able to apply for a Child Workforce Enhanced DBS Certificate.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people is desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided.

Working as a Future Teacher at our client schools, roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Working with a small group of students in need of extra support in subjects such as English, Maths and Science.
  • Delivering pre-planned subject focused interventions and monitor pupils' progress
  • Working alongside the class teacher to plan sessions and cover lessons alongside receiving training on what is involved to become a future teacher.
  • Full support and training will be provided

Following the completion of the Future Teachers Programme, successful Graduates will be supported onto a teacher training course.
