Future Teachers - Salford

Are you a recent Graduate? Are you passionate about working children and young people?

Teaching Personnel and its partner schools have created a 'Future Teachers Programme' to support the recruitment of University Graduates who are looking for one year of paid experience before joining a teacher training course.

In particular, Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large Secondary School in Salford to recruit Graduates to join their 'Future Teachers' Programme for September 2019. This programme provides Graduates with the invaluable skills and experience necessary to become a successful teacher and will also provide support for securing a position on an upcoming teacher training programme.

  • Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant positions on the 'Future Teachers Programme'.
  • Commences in September 2019 on a full-time basis and will be guaranteed for the full academic year 2019/2020.
  • Graduates of all specialisms are welcome to apply for this programme.
  • Positions available for September 2019 guaranteed until the end of the academic year (2020)
  • Competitive rates of pay, earning up to £1300 per month.
  • Opportunity to work within an 'Outstanding' Secondary School located in Salford.
  • Full support and training will be provided.

Working as a Future Teacher in our client school, roles and responsibilities will include working with a small group of students in need of extra support and delivering pre-planned subject focused interventions alongside monitoring pupils' progress. It was also be important to be confident working alongside the class teacher to plan sessions and cover lessons whilst receiving training on what is involved in becoming a successful future teacher.

Application Requirements

  • To be accepted onto the Future Teachers Programme, you must have a degree or be coming to the end of the final year of your degree.
  • You must be able to obtain two references from your most recent employer or University tutor and be able to apply for a Child Workforce Enhanced DBS Certificate.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people is desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided.

Following the completion of the Future Teachers Programme, successful Graduates will be supported onto a Schools Direct/teacher training course.
