Are you a graduate currently pursuing a career in teaching? Would you like to gain experience in a secondary school to see if teaching is the right career path for you? Would you like to gain invaluable paid experience before applying for teacher training?

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting secondary schools throughout Scarborough with Graduate Future Teachers in relation to the shortage of teachers throughout the country.

The Future Teachers programme provides graduates with a school placement working in your specialist area whether that be English, Maths, Science, as an example, supporting full class teachers and working within that department. You will also be given the opportunity to work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis providing tailored individualised support.

As a Graduate Future teacher you will also have numerous opportunities to undertake training and development courses provided by both your placements school, and through Teaching Personnel's CPD academy.

Highlights of the future teachers programme:

  • First hand experience in a secondary school before starting a teacher training programme
  • Access to numerous training and development courses
  • Monthly earnings of up to £1300 paid on a weekly basis
  • Learning by observing full qualified teachers

If you are interested in the Future Teachers programme you will need to have a University degree. Additionally you will need to have suitable references and be eligible for a fully enhanced DBS certificate.
