Teaching Personnel Ltd to recruit a Functional Skills Teacher/ tutor

Teaching Personnel are working with a number is schools across Nottingham who are seeking flexible Functional Skills tutors to support their students.

The role will involve planning and delivering lessons that are designed to support the development of pupils who require extra academic support. Due to the specific needs of the pupils we would be interested in Teachers/ tutors who have experience of working with pupils who are or have been looked after (by the state) or have SEN needs.

The ideal tutor will ideally have experience working within a School Setting; however this is not essential as long as the tutor can demonstrate a passion for improving pupil attainment. The main focus of this role is to support pupils in reaching their potential in English and maths, so the tutor must have an in-depth knowledge of how to deliver sessions up to GCSE English/ Maths.

The ideal tutor will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (essential)
• Experience working with pupils who require extra support
• The ability to build positive working relationships with pupils, school support staff and parents

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
