Functional Skills Tutor

The Role: Functional Skills Tutor

As a Functional Skills Tutor, you’ll:

• Deliver 1:1 or small group tutoring sessions in English, Maths, and IT.

• Help students build essential skills to succeed in life and work.

• Create tailored lessons to meet individual student needs.

• Maintain professionalism, following all safeguarding policies and best practices.

Hourly Pay: £25–£30
A full UK driving licence is desirable, as some sessions may be delivered in students' homes or local libraries.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in teaching Functional Skills (English, Maths, IT).

• Strong communication skills in English.

• Based in Lincoln or the surrounding areas.

• A passion for helping students improve their practical skills for everyday life.

• An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply, with support from us).

• Experience with SEND, SEMH, or other additional needs is an advantage.

• UK teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with functional skills curriculum and exam boards.

• Up-to-date safeguarding training.

• Professional references covering 24 months from the last 10 years.
