Become a Local Tutor with Teaching Personnel

Do you want to help young people achieve their full potential?
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and skilled tutors to support students in Hucknall and the wider Nottinghamshire area, providing tailored support in English, Maths, and Science.

Whether you’re a qualified teacher or an experienced private tutor, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact—one student at a time.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering one-to-one and small group tuition, customised to meet each learner’s needs

  • Helping students build subject knowledge, study skills, and confidence

  • Adapting teaching styles to suit different abilities and learning preferences

  • Monitoring progress and offering constructive feedback


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience tutoring or teaching English, Maths, or Science

  • A recognised teaching qualification (such as QTS, PGCE, or Cert Ed) is an advantage

  • Strong communication, organisation, and planning skills

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
