Functional Skills Teacher – Worksop
Help Local Learners Gain Essential Life Skills
Are you passionate about delivering practical, real-world learning?
Join Teaching Personnel as a Functional Skills Teacher and support students in Worksop in building core skills in English, Maths, and ICT.
Whether you're experienced in post-16 education, adult learning, or secondary SEN support, your expertise can make a life-changing difference to learners who need it most.
Your Role Will Involve:

Teaching Functional Skills in English, Maths, and/or ICT
-
Delivering sessions tailored to individual learning levels – from Entry Level to Level 2
-
Working with young people or adults who may be disengaged, have SEN, or need extra support
-
Planning and adapting engaging lessons that build confidence and independence
-
Tracking progress, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to learner development plans
What We’re Looking For:
-
Experience teaching Functional Skills in any core subject
-
A teaching qualification (e.g. PTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, QTS, PGCE) is desirable
-
Ability to engage hard-to-reach learners and differentiate learning effectively
-
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
