Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and knowledgeable tutors to deliver Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths to learners across Nottinghamshire. This role involves supporting students in developing essential literacy and numeracy skills for further education, employment, and everyday life.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver personalised Functional Skills sessions in English and/or Maths
Support learners working towards Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications
Tailor teaching approaches to meet a variety of learning needs and abilities
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
Encourage confidence and motivation in learners who may have previously struggled in formal education settings

Requirements:

Experience delivering Functional Skills in English and/or Maths
A recognised teaching or tutoring qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 3 Award in Education and Training) is preferred
Knowledge of the Functional Skills curriculum and assessment requirements
Strong communication and organisational skills
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
