What the Role Involves
As a supply teacher, you’ll step into classrooms across Key Stage 3 and 4, and potentially sixth form, to deliver engaging lessons and ensure high-quality learning continues in staff absence. Each day brings something different, offering you the chance to showcase your expertise and broaden your experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching well-structured, engaging lessons in your specialist subject(s)
- Following and adapting existing schemes of work
- Creating a calm, positive learning environment through effective behaviour management
- Supporting students’ progress and keeping learning on track
- Working collaboratively with the school’s welcoming staff team
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have a degree or strong experience in your subject specialism
- Feel confident teaching KS3–KS4 (and ideally A Levels/BTECs too)
- Can hit the ground running and adapt quickly to different classes
- Care deeply about delivering high standards and supporting student well-being

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
