Full time SEN TA required for Moderate SEN school in Purley

• Full time SEN Teaching Assistant role available to start asap
• 08:30am - 15:30pm daily, during school term time
• Based in 'good' primary school in Purley
• Work in a key stage 1 class of children with moderate learning difficulties including autism
• Knowledge of PECs or Makaton highly desirable
• Any other training including safe guarding or child protection is also highly desirable

This school are looking for an outstanding practitioner to join their large and friendly support staff team. You must be committed to improving the academic, social and emotional development of the 10 students in this class, following the direction of the class teacher and working collaboratively with one other teaching assistant.

Most students are able to verbally communicate, however Makaton signing is used regularly and it would be beneficial if you already understand how to use it. If not, training will be available.

The students follow the National Curriculum as closely as possible, and each child will have a specifically tailored set of resources to allow them to access it at their individual level.

To apply for this role you must complete the registration process with Teaching Personnel, which requires having a child workforce DBS registered on the update service and being able to provide two full references from you most recent places of employment.
