Behaviour Mentor needed for September start in Croydon, to work 1:1 with KS1 Children.
This role would consist of supporting young children who are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schooling due to social and emotional mental health difficulties, given that the current Behaviour mentor is leaving at the end of the Academic Year.
The ideal candidate should offer positive methods to engage pupils. Many pupils are known to the criminal justice system and significant percentage of the pupils are looked after or children in need.
Key skills and experience needed:
·Experience working in specialist schools such as SEN schools or Pupil Referral Units
·Previous support work/ Care work with Children ·Strong behaviour management and confident with challenging behaviour
·SEN experience is essential
·One to one and small group work
Teaching Personnel requires candidates to have an Enhanced DBS on the update service and 2 excellent references.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
