French and Spanish Teacher needed!

An outstanding Catholic School based in Twickenham

September start date - £120 - £230 a day

Are you a full qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher seeking a new role after Easter?

If so, we have an outstanding Catholic school looking for a teacher of French and Spanish teacher to start after the Easter break.

Requirements

  • Teachers need to hold a PGCE or QTS
  • Require experience teaching French up to key stage 5 and Spanish
  • All applicants will require an Enhance Child Workforce DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
  • Require a comprehensive 6 year career history
  • Will need to provide 2 educational based and graded (performance based) references
  • Teachers will need the right to work in the UK and a London based address, or willingness to travel and the means to Twickenham

We are currently seeking a French Teacher, who is also able to teach Spanish, for a highly rated school in the Twickenham. The start date will be shortly after Easter and the school are looking to interview as soon as possible. The school prides itself for the quality of education delivered to its students and the school is looking for a teacher with strong subject knowledge who is able to raise the attainment of their students, as well as creating challenging and innovative lesson plans.

As an MFL Teacher you will be required to work along side the Head of Department to plan and deliver lessons for KS3 through to KS5 students. A desirable teacher will have the ability to quickly adapt to the school's culture and ethos and motivate and inspire the students within their class.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies and teaching strategies in the subject area.
  • To contribute to the subject area's Development Plan and its implementation.
  • To plan and prepare courses and lessons.
  • To ensure the effective/efficient deployment of classroom support
  • To work as a member of a designated team and to contribute positively to effective working relations within the field.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Knowledge of National curriculum requirements at KS3 - KS5
  • Understanding of the importance of having high expectations for all students, both of behaviour and academic achievement.
  • Knowledge and experience of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students work.

Additional Experience:

  • Experience of working with Special Educational Needs - Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties.
  • Safeguarding Course Certificate.
  • Additional CPD courses.
