Food Tech: Reading

An excellent school in the Reading area are looking for a Food Tech teacher to join their team. The school is looking for teachers that they can support and work with to ensure pupils are educated to the highest standard.

The school encourages a relationship between parents, pupils and staff as well- to ensure that the school excels, not only academically but also as a key hub within the community.

The food tech role would involve delivering food science according to the curriculum, including covering health and safety information, as well as the nutritional aspects of food technology. It is also an opportunity to teach pupils about food and how to cook and prepare different meals.

A Food Tech Teacher would be ideal, however if a candidate with the right experience and personality took an interest in the role, they may also be considered.

Requirements:

  • Recognised teaching qualifications/ experience with Food Science
  • Relevant experience teaching Food Tech/ or good experience working with Food Science
  • High expectations for all students and a willingness to help them succeed
